This unit has been really helpful in the area of lesson design, I really like the idea of using workbooks alongside creating and developing resources yourself as a teacher. As a person new to teaching kids I understand the need and use of book resources but would like to be able to be more creative in my approach as I grow in confidence and gain more teaching experience. I love the lesson plan format this enables me to be able to cover all the aspects of the lesson and feel confident, especially as i start out, that I have a plan that I can follow if I get stuck. It also helps me to anticipate and think through problems before they arise in the classroom. Finally I love the classroom management tools, I feel issues will arise as I start teaching and this is something that I will have to revisit on a regular basis.
