This unit has given me quite a bit of insight on the fundamental framework of the present tenses in the English language, and through this breakdown I have been exposed to the intricacies that can be confusing to any learner. While I can use these forms of present tense in everyday language with ease, the breakdown is useful for me to see where my students may make mistakes and the ways that I can describe to them how to fix the mistake, in a way that will allow them to learn the reason why their form is incorrect and why it should be another way. I think this ability will be the key difference between helping my students learn from a mistake and simply pointing out where the mistake has been made and sending the student on their way, more confused than before.
