In this unit I learnt the importance of teaching pronuncaition and phonetics.
I learnt how to address the issue and that I should teach the IPA to the students as it could help them, as they can use it to look up the right pronuncation of a word in the dictionary.
I will be able to teach the students how intonation and stress can change what they wish to say in English. I would love to use the ideas from this unit in my lessons, as I do want English learners to have a good pronunciation of the language - it is an important part of any lnaguage.
This unit also teaches phonetics and the IPA chart(I used to work as a phonetic annotator of American English, so I have to admit I did not go over that part of the unit).
