This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit was about classroom management. Over the past 4 years I have taught adults, but my first 3 years as an ESL Teacher I taught children, and classroom management was always an issue. I found some useful ideas that will help me in the future. For really small classes the idea of circular, and horseshoe seating arrangements are great. It makes the class more relaxed, and intimate. I think a relaxed easy going environment is great for children. I also think these seating options makes it easier to build rapport with students. If your students like you they will probably try their best to be less disruptive during class. I think I have a better understanding of the do's and don't of classroom management.
