This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit was more difficult than I thought. Understanding the application of phonetics and how different aspects can affect it, such as placement, air, vibration, and different bodily organs can affect or change the pronunciation of a words/sentences. It made me overly aware of how I, myself, pronounce words. Showing and being aware of your speech flow and how the intonation can affect how the sentence is received by the recipient. Also, the phonemic alphabet was interesting to learn but I'm definitely going to need more time with it because even though it felt like i was reading a dictionary and it all phonetics, it was still hard to grasp.
