This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:

The unit teaches the parts of speech, dividing each category into subcategories. Instead of merely outlining the difference between verbs, nouns, and adjectives, we discussed the differences between types of verbs, such as transitive and intransitive. Because I have taken various linguistic classes, I am already familiar with sentence diagramming and identifying the parts of speech in a sentence, but this unit was a good review. Some of the smaller details were new to me, such as adding \"more\" instead of \"-er\" to a comparative adjective when it is longer than two syllables. Transitive and intransitive verbs are hard to keep separate in my mind, but after reading the lesson material I have a greater command of identifying and also explaining the difference.
