This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
There are four aspects of the present tense - present simple, present continuous, present perfect, and present perfect continuous. They are used to relate the action to the present. The present shows action that is continuing at the time of speaking. The present perfect shows action in the past that is still true now. The present perfect continuous shows incomplete action that started in the past. There are grammatical structures for using them in the positive, in the negative and for asking a question. The structure of the sentence will show what aspect of the tense is being used. For example, a verb with a past participle form will be used in the perfect aspect. It seems like pictures or photos of people or things in action can be used to teach the aspects of teh present tense.
