I enjoyed this lesson. I believe lesson plans are very important. If you are the only teacher then I can see how it would be easy to disregard the need for a lesson plan, but that has the high risk of allowing yourself to become complacent. In my opinion, if someone falls into complacent teaching either they've given up the true essence of teaching. And then need to consider if they are over worked or if teaching is even for them.
If you expect a substitution for whatever reason a lesson plan seems essential. Even if the lesson theme could be \"winged\" that still seems like a great disservice to the students.
