This unit concentrated on pronunciation and phonology in the classroom and included topics such as intonation, pronunciation, the international standard for phonetics, and stresses. It was helpful to me that the unit was clear not only in the terminology such as the different names and the use of diagrams in how we pronounce English but also in comparing a lot to the different versions of things like when the example of stress was brought up the sentence with the dog was used and then the stress on each word was discussed and what each scenario meant. It was helpful for me to have a whole picture view in something that I have not thought about extensively before.
