This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit presented the four types of present tense verb usage. I found this unit to be quite helpful. As with other grammar rules, it is easy for a native English speaker to follow the rules without thinking when speaking or writing in English, but it is more difficult to verbalize and explain the rules and exceptions to non-native English speakers. This unit explained the different types of present tense verbs, their usages, rules and exceptions, and typical student errors quite thoroughly and clearly. I feel like I would be able to explain this information myself to a non-native English speaker after reviewing this unit. From reviewing this unit, I can see how non-native speakers would find the different verb tenses a bit confusing and complicated to learn, so I understand that as a teacher, one might need to spend extra time and patience on this topic.
