This unit provided good information about the formation of classroom lessons and the importance of each section. I had previously thought that the importance of the study type of activities would outweigh those of the other sections, but this is not the case. It does seem that language learning would improve more from usage than repeated drilling, although corrections and the introduction of new material are still important. Making students comfortable enough to speak in a new language is a difficult task and can thus take more lesson time. Designing lessons to do that while still expanding knowledge at a good pace will be one of the more difficult aspects of teaching in my opinion.
