The difference in between the two videos was like night and day. In lesson one; the teacher came in, seemingly unprepared and was not engaging with his students. No lesson goals were introduced and kind of came off as a dictator with the expectation the students knew exactly what he was he was trying to explain. He never really sought clarification on compression and barreled through the make-shift lesson plan.
In lesson two; he was prepared, positive body language to make the students feel at ease, at times mocked himself to further make the students feel comfortable even if answers were wrong, plenty of activities in the study section of the lesson plan to gain comprehension of the material, and he concentrated on what the students knew (animals) and built the lesson around it.
