Unit 2 began with the introduction of the role of the teacher in the classroom. There are five roles and the teacher can be acting in any one of the roles during the course of the class: instructor, facilitator, counselor, psychologist and policeman. The unit also went over the advantages and disadvantages of teaching a group and teaching one on one. The major disadvantage of teaching one on one discussed was the level of the students in the class and how to teach them. Various methods were suggested on how to teach the students with different level and the main point was to have activities where all levels can be involved and none are lleft out.
