This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Unit 2 focused completely on parts of speech and the grammatical rules that follow. From this unit, one should be able to identify parts of speech such as adverbs, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, etc. It is important to understand this part of the English language as it builds sentences; without a solid understanding of the unit, teaching English to anyone of another language will prove difficult. The material in this unit helped me to further my understanding of the many rules of English. I was able to solidify the correct definition and usage of gerunds and other terms alike. I am also more aware of certain rules and exceptions within parts of speech, such as counting syllables well dealing with comparatives and superlatives. This unit has helped me to be aware of the role each word or phrase plays in a sentence and how to manipulate them accordingly.
