Unit 10 deals with the dos and don'ts of a teacher's classroom practice. It uses two videos of the same teacher and students, with the first highlighting the teacher's many incorrect and unhelpful practices and the second showing how the same lesson can be 'turned around' with the teacher adopting good classroom technique.
While the teaching howlers of the first lesson are necessarily exaggerated, they do serve, by comparison with the better techniques and interaction of the second lesson, to highlight the enormous difference between a good and a bad learning experience: which is what the students pay and come for and what the teacher is paid and obligated to provide.
