Unit 13 Teaching Pronunciation and Phonology was the most difficult unit so far in this course. As a native speaker, I often don't pay attention to the way I pronounce or hear words and sentences. With that being said I have been asked a number of times from my foreign colleagues why certain words are pronounced as they are and have found myself responding with it's natural. I found this unit very helpful in explaining why words are stressed different ways and also how words are heard by non native speakers.
In my classroom in the future I will using the different mouth techniques I learned in this unit to explain and improve my students speaking fluency.
