This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:

There are various methods of teaching English to non-native speakers but it is important to take all factors (e.g. native culture, student needs, and your own preferences) into account when deciding which method to use. The most effective of these methods is the Engage-Study-Activate or ESA method. The ESA method can be implemented in three ways: The ?straight-arrow?, the ?boomerang?, and the ?patchwork? sequences. Each sequence will work best depending on the needs of the students and will help the teachers see where the students are in their knowledge of the language. Teachers should provide feedback and corrections to students in a positive manner so that the students will not be discouraged but also in a way to allow the students to work out their mistakes and errors.
