TESOL Videos - TESOL TEFL Reviews - Video Testimonial - Iskender
Iskender is from Turkey and he is teaching English in Mongolia. He recently completed our 120-hour TEFL certification course and was able to apply his new-learned skills in his classroom. He saw immediate results and his students improved greatly.
This is what one of our TEFL graduates feels he has gained from the course, or a part of it, and how he plans to put into action what he has learned.
Clarity, simplicity, organization and creating interest in the students is very important when working towards a successful lesson. A lot has to be taken into consideration, especially when there are many different students with different interests. I suppose if you were in a class with people who are all interested in physics it would be pretty easy to work out a lesson. There's only one topic, everyone can talk to each other fairly easy and then you might just have to review new words. But with a different class, perhaps having the class divided across many different interests can be quite complex. The teacher needs to be open to all interests and be able to synthesize a lesson from any topic.
