Shanice from Jamaica talks about her experience taking the 120-hour online course with ITTT in this TESOL review video. Shanice thought the course was amazing with each unit building on the last and caused her to really consider what she was learning and how it would be implemented in the classroom. Shanice recommends the course to anyone thinking of teaching English as a foreign language abroad.
Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.
This unit was well written but some of the questions aren't clear as a few does not relate to the answers that were provided. I did leave with a good understanding of the different types of learners and what it means to be a great teacher and what may cause students to lose interest and so forth. For people who don't know the English grammar nomenclature it's a necessary part of the course but even if you know it, it's a good reminder. I don't know how to improve this unit but nor I see the need of doing that. Actually, it was nice fun to remind yourself this part of the English language.I found this unit a little difficult, particularly the phonemic symbols. I think I have a good grasp of the other areas covered; stresses, intonation etc. I can see how new students to the speaking of English can be confused. I hope that I can pass on my knowledge and experiences to ,y students.
