That was definitely a much needed refresher of all the grammar basics and sub categories. It really makes you think about how much structure we take for granted being native speakers, which is important to understand in order to improve methods for teaching non-native speakers. Like mentioned in the reading, having a clear understanding of the grammar basics is essential for gaining trust from the students. Understanding the structure and basics of grammar is a must for every TEFL instructor in order to be equipped for any questions in the classroom regarding the \"why\" of forming English language patterns.
