While I feel I grasped the main content from this unit, I was also confused by the organization of it. All the various headings and subheadings came across to me as a little confusing in structure. I felt I could have used a visual breakdown of this unit, in order to better understand how the content was organized. Having said that, I feel I have fully grasped the various ESA structures and what types of activities to use at which time, as well as what the relevant factors are when it comes to learning vocabulary and grammar. Furthermore, we learned about function and the different types of ESA activities that could be used to learn function. While there was some indication of when to use straight arrow, patchwork, or boomerang techniques, it was not very evident when to use which - but I suppose that is because that can be flexible.
