Reported speech, passive voice and relative clauses can also be very challenging because they have many details and specific ways to use them. Students don't necessarily need to know every detail, but they must understand and know how to use them. As usual, the teacher must be well prepared and present such topics with many examples and the study moment during the lesson should have a greater part. For instance, during one of my lesson about reported speech, my students rewrote a direct speech from a live interview on TV to a written article for a \"newspaper\". It was great to see they understood its usage and actually saw its final product.
