Conditional and reported speech are treated in unit sixteen. Conditionals are sentences containing 'if' or similar expression such as 'when' which refer to past, present and future possibilities. There are two clauses, the 'if' clause which contain the condition that has to be met before the action or state in the main clause can be realised. Moreover, the five main conditionals, the form and usage are also discussed in this unit. Also some typical mistakes/errors and teaching ideas. Furthermore, some hints are also given on reported and direct speech. The changes to be noted when the reporter uses a reporting verb in the past such as 'said, told, asked etc. And also the changes in the pronoun indicating who is spoken to depending on the context.
