This unit was focused on the productive skills: speaking and writing. The purpose of both skills is to communicate. Writing could be a very difficult skill because it requires more accuracy than others and it could be a major challenge for students that use a different alphabetical language, also we could find almost the same pronunciation in two different words with different spelling or the same word with different pronunciation.
Speaking requires more fluency so we have to encourage students to do it constantly. To develop both skills we have to create interest and desire in the students to communicate. We could relate the topic to the students own interests and their pre-existing knowledge. We could use games to make the development of both skills more entertaining for the students.
