This unit covers conditionals and reported speech, including information about the different forms of each, common mistakes that students make when using them, and ideas for teaching them.
I got a great review of conditionals and reported speech. As a native English speaker, I don't really think much about how conditionals are formed and how reported speech is constructed because it comes naturally to me. But when teaching them, a teacher needs to be able to clearly explain how they are used--and so, it's important to both understand AND be able to explain how they are constructed and utilized. So this unit helped me get a more concrete understanding of conditionals and reported speech, such that if someone were to ask me about them, I would be able to explain the different forms.
