This unit examined the productive skills of language, which are speaking and writing. When teaching these skills it is important to develop both fluency and accuracy. Accuracy is best taught during the study phase of the lesson through activities such as drilling and the teacher should tactfully correct mistakes. Fluency is best taught during the activate phase through interaction, such as group work or games.In unit 7, I learnt many ways to approach in teaching vocabulary, grammar and functions with specific examples that I can use it in a English class. I personally found out ESA lessons are very useful for me as I did not have any idea how I should approach when teaching new language but after I completion of Unit 7, I got a clear idea I should organise a lesson for new vocabulary, grammar and function teaching.
