This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit provides us with the information on the topic of equipment and teaching aids and using them in the classroom. Everything, from tape recorders to video cameras is covered in detail. Personally, I found the basic principles of white/black board-work most interesting, as almost every class in the world has those. Advanced equipment such as OHP, interactive whiteboards etc. are not as common and still use the same basic principles. These videos were great examples of how much a teacher's attitude can effect a whole lesson. It is important to not only know what you are teaching, but also to know who you are teaching. Students are there because they are still learning, and therefore need not only the lesson, but also the guidance of a teacher. When a teacher does not make themselves open to providing that guidance with a bad attitude, they have failed as a a teacher.
