The final unit goes over troubleshooting common problems in the classroom. First lessons should always be started off with rapport building exercises between the class and the teacher. It is also a brilliant time to get new groups acquainted with the methodology of how an ESL class operates. A few different class warmers are discussed such as hangman, Pictionary or tongue twisters. Differing levels of students may be accommodated using either different materials or just being offered different tasks during class time. Pairing stronger students with weaker ones may also bring positive results. As always, the use of the learners native language should always be avoided as the students may begin to abuse it if they feel they can communicate their minds with the teacher.
