This unit was an introduction to English grammar. As a native speaker this is honestly why I signed up to get TEFL certification. There are so many things I just know do or do not sound correct but in all cases I couldn't have told you why. I was reintroduced to sentence structure and parts of speech most of which I was very comfortable with, but there were some words like gerund I've heard in passing (I work with Editors) but didn't remember it from my primary education. I was glad to have a refresher on adverbs, superlatives, pronouns and everything else. This chapter will be a constant review as will the subsequent readings on the subject provided in the intro. This chapter has paid for the whole course from my perspective can't wait to dive deeper into grammar.
