So called conditionals are sentences containing 'if' or similar expressions like for example 'when'. They comprise of an 'if' clause and a main clause, and either of the clauses can be first in the sentence. The 'if' clause represents a condition that has to be satisfied, and the main clause represents the consequence. There are five conditionals and common errors usually come from past tenses being used. We also have so called 'direct speech' and 'reported speech' in English. Direct speech are the actual sentences that somebody says, for example 'I love him'. Reported speech are when somebody says what somebody else did or said, like 'He said he loves her' or 'he said he loved her'. Common errors with reporting speech come also from various tenses being used.
