It was very useful to learn how to use all those different teaching aids, as well as how to get the best out of them and not to have problems during the class, especially with electronic equipment. One of the things that surprised me was the advice on how to effectively use a black or white board. After some thought I realized that even a blackboard can easily be misused, affecting negatively the whole class.This unit gave a great run down of other materials and equipment available to instructors, as well as some of the advantages and disadvantages for each. Additionally, the unit also provides great examples of class activities that can be used for each piece of equipment. The section about video cameras and using them to conduct interviews or make soap operas in particular has my dentrates and synapses flaring.
