The unit explained how to form lesson plans and how those lesson plans may change as the teacher becomes more experienced. It was helpful to see how the engage, study, and activate phases worked together. By seeing a working lesson plan and the number of handouts, I was able to start gathering my own ideas for lessons. The open lesson planning page will be a great resource in creating my own plans.In this unit, I learned about teaching special groups. There are several different categories of beginners. For example, there are true beginners, false beginners, adult beginners, and young beginners. Teaching individual students has some benefits and some drawbacks. Teaching young learners requires more attention to pacing. Business English usually requires brushing up on English in general.
