In this unit, we learnt how to plan a lesson and the importance of coming prepared to each class. The teacher must be both well-prepared with a lesson plan and materials, as well as flexible to change their plan as the class develops. Teachers should not write a script for how the class will unfold. The most important factors to remember when writing a lesson plan are: keep it simple, make a structure and maintain it, anticipate how long each activity and phase will take, keep the lesson fluid and be flexible! I think it is very important that new teachers monitor their lessons by writing a review of each class, in order to remember what problems came up and how to better prepare for future lessons.
