In this unit, I learned about productive skills. As opposed to receptive skills, I think it is more difficult for students living in non-English speaking countries to develop their productive skills. Thanks to the internet, students anywhere can listen to English dialogue or read English articles. Opportunities to practice speaking and writing along with good feedback, however, are much harder to find for these students. It is the responsibility of the teacher to help students to gain these skills, because oftentimes the classroom is the only place in which these students can practice speaking and writing.
