This chapter gave a detailed overview of how to asses students and which exam is used at the different point of assesment. The chapter enable the reader to further understand the different test available to individuals and the purpose of these tests.In my opinion this chapter closes off the entire program in a very good way and allow the learner to be ready in all aspects of the evaluation process.In this unit, I learned that there are various types of tests that can be used in a TEAL course. Certain tests should be used to determine student language level (diagnostic and placement)whereas other tests should be used to determine student progress (progress test). Although their are many reasons for assessment, assessment should not usually be used to indicate a student's ranking in the class.
