This unit was a nice overview of why lesson planning is important, both for the students and for the teacher. It is important to know what the focus of the day will be and what kinds of study and activate activities can be used to reinforce a new grammar point or set of vocabulary. However, there needs to be a certain level of flexibility in each lesson plan in order to accommodate students if they are not succeeding at the \"activate\" activity. My mother is an ESL teacher and told me that I should always have too many study and activate activities planned for the class so that I never run out of ways to reinforce a lesson.
