This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit provided an overview of pronunciation and phonology (including the phonetic alphabet) and techniques and methods of how to teach them both. This unit shows us that there is a lot that goes into the making of the sounds to pronounce language well and correctly-- knowing not only how to formulate the sound with the mouth, but how that sound is physically produced, how to produce it and to check correct production (such as if we can feel the vibration in our throats or not), and what a sound looks like written down phonetically. Each of these aspects of sound production allow us to better create and teach pronunciation.
