This unit has covered some of the common problems faced by teachers in different situations and techniques that would help overcome these problems. I learnt that teaching a class for the first time is always good not to use course book but try as much as possible to establish student-student rapport as well as student teacher rapport. Warm up activities are usually very helpful in boosting up students' mood and get them prepared for the main lesson. If students have difficulties such as those in listening it's always good to pre-teach the vocabulary involved in the audio track. When student feel reluctant to participate, pair work or role-play etc. can help get them involved. Different materials can be prepared by the teacher in case he or she meets a group of students with a wide gap of language skills as this will help involve both high and low-level students equally during the lesson. Or better still same material but different tasks
