In this module, I learned proper class management. I will begin applying these methods to my online ESL lessons. Even though seating arrangement may not appyly, the way I pair students is definitely important. I will practice limiting the teacher talk time and ask students to read more often. With onlne ESL students, there is not a way to know each student's profile. This is beneficial at avoiding bias based on a student's level of English.I enjoyed studying this unit in connection with unit 11 on receptive skills. I can see how both receptive skills and both productive skills are so useful. Currently studying a new language, I would agree that the writing tends to get the least emphasis in the classroom, and when assigned as homework is met with opposition and grumbling from the students. Like unit 11, I really enjoyed taking a closer look at writing and speaking in this unit.
