This unit was not an easy one. It did take a bit of studying. Which is absolutely fine, but while getting this topic organized in my head, I was trying to imagine explaining it to students. Making a lesson plan is quite a particular job but then there is also the overall understanding that we have to help with. And that would probably take more than one lesson. If a student understands this and uses it correctly, they are probably getting a good grasp of the language.I often use technology and visual aids in my lessons for all the reasons listed in this unit. The Japanese teachers of English at my workplace rely heavily on the textbook and audio tools, so I try to balance my lessons by using teaching aids not used by the Japanese teachers. I agree that the use of technology can focus students attention, and bring the outside world into the classroom.
