This unit was quite long. There were some approaches that I don't necessarily agree with. the phonetic alphabet for example. Recommending students to memorize the phonetic alphabet and the one provided in this unit just did not seem to be good advice to me or a decent language tool. However, there might be and are many things about language that i am not aware of and this just might be another one. I did though enjoy answering the phonetic script questions on the quiz and part of that is probably because it is like a puzzle to figure out.
One of the most useful parts, to me, presented in this unit was on page 8. It provided various forms of the same sentence but stressing different parts of the sentence that would allow the listener/reader to decipher what the speaker is trying to convey. Again, some of the activities mentioned were also cool.
