This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This section reviewed content related to characteristics of good learners as well as good teachers. It distinguished between the various roles a teacher is required to play while teaching, and discussed the challenges that can sometimes arise when fulfilling these roles. Conversely, this unit discussed the diversity among learners, due to their previous experiences, and ultimately discussed how these attributes might affect their behavior in the classroom. It also discussed different levels of learners, based on their proficiency with English, and concluded with a section on motivation to better understand what drives learners to learn more about the English language. I learned more about the perspective of the students I would be working with, and gave me a better appreciation of factors to be aware of in the classroom.
