In this unit, I revisited the productive skill realm of the English Language, which is speaking and writing. As equally important as Listening and Reading, I feel that Speaking is a vital part of any person's life, as we communicate with each other in order to navigate through our lives daily; and as such, I feel that we as teachers should ensure that the new learners are taught how to speak correctly and effectively in order to prevent any potential misunderstandings when they go on to communicate with others in the future. This is the same with Writing, where the new learners would eventually write emails for their work or personal purposes in future; and to ensure that they display professionalism and a good grasp of grammar and vocabulary, I feel that it is vital that we as teachers also ensure that Writing is taught accurately, with all the proper sentence structures in place.
