This unit was all about how to manage a classroom. It covered various topics such as how to balance teacher talk time versus student talk time, classroom arrangement, handling discipline issues, and grouping students for activities. This unit is a good reminder of all of the various aspects of a classroom and how a teacher must be prepared to handle each one. As discussed in previous units, it mentioned the importance of a teacher being in control, but at the same time allowing the students to have the freedom to work on their own and have interactions with their fellow classmates. My main take away from this unit was understanding how to establish a good rapport with students as well as learning various ways to break up the monotony of a normal classroom to keep students engaged and interested.
