Unit 15 on Evaluation and Testing covered the different types of ways to test a student?s language skills. The different tests were further broken down into scenarios where it would be best utilized. For example, diagnostic tests are useful at the beginning of a course to test the knowledge level of students to help teachers better prepare and tailor their lessons. This unit also identified the ways to assess a student?s language level outside of tests through tutorials and evaluations from the students themselves. Overall, this unit was very helpful as the primary goal of a teacher is to see their students improve and tests can serve as a way to track improvement.
