This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
At the school where I worked our lesson plans had to comply with a prescribed, fixed structure that suited young students (I won't mention the name of the school, but it's part of a huge and rather popular British franchise in Asia). However, I found that this structure didn't work very well with my older, more advanced classes. Unfortunately, the school did not give us much space to modify the structure of our lesson plans. But when we taught Trinity GESE at the school's summer camps, we were allowed to teach the way we wanted. I think the ESA approach would've helped me tremendously if I knew about it back then. I like its flexibility.
