There is no fixed teaching techniques for a specific teacher. Instead the teacher needs to be flexible in using a varied of techniques to make his/her lesson more interesting and so more effective. However, the teacher should keep in mind that the lesson should be started with Engage (when the students take more time to talk) and end with Activate (when the students use the language points they have been taught in real communication contexts). Another important note is that the teacher should not correct the students' mistakes/ errors at all stages because this will discourage the students and take much time for other activities.
