This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Apart from learning english
Grammar (which I found quite challenging), the most interesting and rewarding part of this course has been learning how to put together a comprehensive lesson plan and how to use the tools at hand to your advantage.
In terms of using my new knowledge I hope to be super organized and prepared for any eventuality in a classroom environment. I’ve learned that you can never have enough extra material on standby just in case you need it and you just can’t be too well prepared. I’ve also gained a better understanding of an english
Language student and what they might expect of me as a teacher.
I enjoyed the lessons on lesson planning and lessons on practice. I have also gained a greater understanding of all the components that make up the english
Language, including Receptive and Productive skills, pronunciation and phonology.
The other important thing I have learned is that the Internet is a world of answers and there is just so much to learn about this language and how one can teach it. I have really enjoyed the course and I look forward to putting my knowledge to use in the classroom.
