During the course of my life, I have heard this sentence when discussing language learning \"The people who learn a language may, but not always, have a firmer grasp of its intricacies than the language's native speakers.\" I believe this sentence to be factual after reviewing this lesson. I did learn about many of these basic grammar concepts when I was in school, but as I grew older I payed less attention because English is my L1. I have friends whose L2 is English and they were able to discuss English grammar in greater detail than I could; until now. Even though it was challenging to understand a couple aspects at first, each section's explanation was extremely helpful. This lesson has taught me be more attentive to each word in a sentence to understanding its role and meaning.
