In my opinion one of the biggest challenges in being an EFL teacher is having suitable materials. Some countries like South Korea have a wealth of materials, and budget to have a class. A country like Egypt or Saudi Arabia may not have as many materials. So it's important to utilize what you have. Often times teachers wont be able to pick out their course book before hand, due to budget constraints or course curriculum dictated by the administration of school. So creating appropriate non authentic materials, and finding good authentic materials is both necessary and a great challenge for teachers in any teaching environment.
